Cambridge Investment Partnership has been announced as one of five finalists for Public/Private Partnership in this year’s EG Awards.
The awards, which are in their 18th year, celebrate the very best things about the real estate sector, including the very best businesses and developments.
It’s wonderful to have CIP recognised amongst industry peers in these coveted EG Awards. The success of our partnership is all about collaboration, bringing together the best of public and private sector expertise to work closely on the day-to-day delivery of our programme to build high quality council and market sale homes, along with commercial and community facilities.Tom Hill, Regional Director for Hill
Since the equal partnership was established in 2017, we have been working to design and deliver developments which integrate with the local community to address the acute housing need in Cambridge. We have also delivered much needed council homes with wheelchair access, Housing First properties for rough sleepers and 18 pod homes on three sites to provide temporary homes for homelessness as a middle step into long-term accommodation. We have been challenging sustainability and design standards ensuring all our new developments are gas free and piloting different ways of achieving Passivhaus and net zero carbon standards, helping to reduce the burden of increased fuel costs on our tenants. I am proud of what is being achieved and would like to congratulate every member of the team.Gerri Bird, Executive Councillor for Housing at Cambridge City Council and CIP board member
The winners will be announced on 2nd November 2022.
