We have a mixed portfolio of sites from large city centre brownfield sites providing market and affordable homes; estate regeneration schemes providing improved, more efficient council housing on publicly owned land, and infill schemes, making use of under-used parcels of council land to provide additional council housing.

Akeman Street

The development replaces a tired building that under-utilised space with new homes, shops and a community centre. This offers level access, two rooms and a fully equipped kitchen providing a valuable resource for the local neighbourhood.

Anstey Way

Anstey Way saw the replacement of 23 council rented and 5 leasehold properties with 56 new homes, including 3 adapted homes. 100% of the new homes are affordable. Located in Trumpington, CIP worked carefully with the architects and planners to ensure the development was well integrated into wider community through considered landscaping including a courtyard and commissioning unique artwork integrated into the fabric of the buildings.

Campkin Road

The Council is committed to maximising affordable housing in the city. This project demonstrates how the investment partnership model makes this possible. At Campkin Road, CIP replaced 32 post war aging flats which are no longer fit for purpose with 75 new homes. 100% are affordable, contributing to the Council’s 500 Council Home Programme. The Council successfully rehoused residents during Covid to enable this scheme to start on site.

Colville Road Phase 2

The development replaces two housing blocks containing 24 post war aging council homes, garages and outbuildings with 67 brand new council homes and apartments. Landscaping has been used to create areas of play, communal gardens and routes through the site with generous flower beds and tree planting to minimise the visual impact of car parking. Work is now underway on Phase 3 to create 48 new council rented homes and provide four new commercial units.

Redevelopment of the site in the heart of Cherry Hinton to replace 16 aging homes with 48 new council rented homes and four new commercial units.

East Road Garages, Cambridge

CIP has been able to mobilise quickly to support Cambridge City Council on the emergency demolition of a garage block in the city centre. The 1950’s built block was substantially damaged during Storm Dudley and CIP were able to mobilise under license to do emergency make safe works and subsequently full demolition. The site is in a prominent position on East Road, opposite the Grafton Shopping Centre and is in early design and consultation to provide replacement housing blocks.
